Terms of Service
The legal terms governing your use of the INS gateway. Last updated: July 2026.
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of INS (International Number Service), including our website, customer portal, REST API and any related products or services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using INS, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement and that your use does not violate any applicable law in your jurisdiction.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
The Service must be used lawfully. You agree NOT to use INS for:
- Fraud, phishing, identity theft, or any activity that harms other end users
- Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging or any communication that violates anti-spam law
- Circumvention of law enforcement, sanctions or export controls
- Bypassing safety systems designed to protect minors
- Attacks against, or unauthorized access to, third-party systems
- Any activity that violates the terms of service of the destination platform in a way that harms end users (e.g. impersonation, scam accounts)
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy and to cooperate with law enforcement on documented investigations.
5. Free Service
The Service is provided free of charge to end users. There is no subscription, no top-up, no balance and no per-message billing. INS earns revenue through carrier interconnect and traffic termination agreements. If a rented number fails to receive an SMS within its guaranteed window, the number is released automatically so a fresh one can be requested at no cost.
6. Service Availability
We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Enterprise plans may include an SLA with specific credits for downtime. Scheduled maintenance is communicated in advance where possible.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and all associated software, documentation and branding are the property of INS. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data and do not share SMS content with third parties except as required by law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, extended inactivity, or where legally required. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, INS is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our aggregate liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the customer portal or email at least 14 days before taking effect.
